| [Dept. Heaven World Guidance] → Super-Long Interview 1 (Ito & Tomita) |
[Mar. 2nd, 2013|09:09 am]
|
Here's the first of the two ridiculously long interviews included in Dept. Heaven World Guidance! The first part is mostly Ito being interviewed by himself, explaining his background and philosophies and a little bit about Knights in the Nightmare.
Tomita Yoshihisa, who also participated in this interview, is a name you might recognize from the Special Thanks areas of a lot of Sting games' credits. He was the game designer for the Evolution series (World of Sacred Device, Far Off Promise, Evolution Worlds, etc).
This interview was apparently conducted on October 10 during the 2008 Tokyo Gameshow.
I plan to do the second of these (where all the illustrators come in) next! It's about the same length as this one though, so don't expect it right away.

| [Riviera Epilogue Disc] → Original Drama Tracks (1/4) |
[Feb. 26th, 2013|08:01 pm]
|
Riviera's GBA-era drama CDs have already got some translated scripts, but... well, let's just say that they've got some awkward errors in them. So I decided that since I have the scripts for the Epilogue Disc, I might as well translate them myself! At least this way people will have some options for comparison.
The Epilogue Disc is very difficult to find hard copies of nowadays, but if you poke around the Internet a bit you will probably be able to find the data floating around if you want to give the tracks themselves a listen.
So, without further ado, here's the first drama, which has to do with Malice's backstory--

| [Blaze Union Artbook] → Staff Questionnaire |
[Jan. 1st, 2013|08:08 am]
|
Happy new year! To get things started on a good note, here's a translation of the little questionnaire that's included in the very back of the Blaze Union artbook.
There's one kind of gross comment on race in Kousaki's section, so brace yourself for that. Spoilers also abound. I mainly decided to TL these because one of the things Yokoyama has to say has some interesting implications for the whole series.
The usual rules apply: Linking to this translation is fine, but don't just copypaste it without credit, as that is p disrespectful.

| [Dept. Heaven World Guidance] → Yggdra Union Timeline / Q&A with Ito (Yggdra version) |
[Dec. 9th, 2012|05:57 pm]
|
Here's the official timeline for Yggdra Union and its Q&A session with Ito, from World Guidance again! Let's play "spot the timeskip", shall we? This obviously involves spoilers.
Regarding the Q&A session, Blaze Union should already have been in development at this point, hence Ito's remarks.
...Also, I think Ito has just given us permission to blame anything really wonky from side games and remakes on Yasui.
The usual rules apply: Linking to this translation is fine, but don't just copypaste it without credit, as that is p disrespectful.

Under this cut is the full text of the Riviera Designer's Works book, which was preorder bonus goods for the PSP version! Though this book is no longer available, you can still find scans floating around online.
